List of fan translations

January 17th, 2008

The Fan translation of video games article on Wikipedia originally had a list of fan translations, but it had first been moved to a separate article to un-clutter the article, and later removed entirely because the information was not ‘notable’ enough (tsk!).

So I’m keeping a copy of the list here so that it doesn’t get lost. I can’t vouch for the correctness of the entire list, but at least I have personally verified the MSX translations using the translated games themselves (in some of them the release date shows up during the opening sequence). You can take a look at the revision history of the original article to see who else contributed to this list.

Wikipedia does it all the time :/ by GuyveR800 at 2008-01-26 14:07

Yeah, Wikipedia does that all the time... A lot of MSX stuff that Sean Young originally put on Wikipedia has since been removed, and put back on the internet @ http://bifi.msxnet.org/msxnet/

The list really shows what pioneers Oasis were. Although the quality of their work leaves to be desired compared to some of the extremely well-done SNES translations, they were first by a wide margin.

By the way, nice to see you’re still alive! I was beginning to wonder ^^;
