Musical Baton

May 19th, 2005

Recently there’s been a weird chainmail thing going on, except that it’s for blogs. You basically receive a virtual ‘musical baton’ from someone, which entails answering some questions about music, and then passing it on. It seems very popular right now, and Menno van Slooten passed his baton on to me, so ah well, here’s my shot at it:

Total volume of music files on my computer

16,7 GB. Mostly consisting out of rips of CDs I have, game and anime soundtracks.

Last CD I bought

That would probably be a joint purchase of the FLCL soundtrack by the pillows and the Princess Mononoke soundtrack by Joe Hisaishi (久石譲). I’d say about two months ago.

Song playing right now

Not really anything, I just came home and was about to go to sleep :). I also usually don’t have music playing all the time. But when I do, I listen to my Last.fm profile radio quite often (there’s a link below the menu on the left), which plays music which reflects my musical taste. Works pretty good. For the occasion I have also put up a random song in Winamp, and the song that came out of it was Evanescence – Everybody’s Fool.

Five songs I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me

Hm, difficult... Only five, eh. Let’s just name a few that I like to listen to:

And, to sneak in a sixth track, Falcom Sound Team JDK – To Make It to the End of the Battle, part of the Very Best of Ys soundtrack from the Ys series.

Five people to pass it on to…

Pff, er... I don’t know many people with blogs. Ah well, I am passing on the baton to the following people:

That’s it. Sorry :).

p.s. It’s funny to trace back the list of batons to their original authors, to see if you recognise one of the blogs. The first I was able to find was Hicksdesign, a fairly well-known blog on web design. I had to go pretty far back though :).
